Hardscape In Landscaping
Hardscape works include all non-plant, structural, functional, and aesthetic elements that form the backbone of the landscape. This scope covers material supply, labour, tools, machinery, and complete execution.
- 1. Site Preparation

- Clearing and removal of existing grass, debris, stones, and unwanted vegetation.
- Cutting, excavation, and levelling of the site as per landscape drawings.
- Disposal of unwanted material as per local municipal regulations.
- Soil compaction using plate compactors/rollers.
- Marking and layout of all hardscape components.
- 2. Sub-base & Base Work

- Preparing WBM / crushed metal base (60–90 mm).
- Compaction layer-by-layer as per engineering standards.
- Adding M-sand bedding for paver stones, tiles, and stones.
- Preparing PCC/RCC base where required for heavy loads.
- Constructing proper slope (1:60 or as specified) for rainwater flow.
- Laying geotextile membranes where needed.
- 3. Paver Block Installation

- Supply of interlocking paver blocks in chosen design & thickness (60mm/80mm).
- Laying on a compacted sand bed as per the approved pattern.
- Edge restraint using concrete kerbstones.
- Compaction using a plate compactor after spreading kiln-dried sand for joint filling.
- Final inspection and alignment check.
- 4. Natural Stone Work

- Supply and installation of Kota/Basalt/Granite/Sandstone for walkways and plazas.
- Cutting, trimming, edge finishing, and levelling.
- Joint filling with cement slurry or polymers.
- Anti-skid finish for wet areas.
- Application of stone sealer to prevent algae (important for Mumbai).
- 5. Concrete Work

- RCC/PCC pathways, plinths, ramps, drains, and edges.
- Stamped concrete or exposed aggregate finishes, if required.
- Reinforcement cutting, bending, and placement.
- Shuttering, de-shuttering, and curing.
